Day Shelter body

Year-round Shelter for the Homeless

The Center offers space for homeless men, women, and children to come indoors, use the bathroom, fill water bottles, charge their phone, and rest. Guests include people who are staying in overnight shelters that close during the day, people sleeping in stairwells, and people who are outdoors all night. Over 600 people each year come to the Day Shelter to warm up and get connected with services through Trinity’s other programs. This program is a lifeline for many people especially during Maine’s bitterly cold winters.

The Day Shelter is open 7:30-3:00 Monday-Saturday.

Donate to the Heating Fund

Maine winters are long and brutally cold. The Center’s Day Shelter provides warmth, safety, and hope to those with nowhere else to turn, as blizzards hit our city.

Your generosity can help make a tangible difference. By donating today, you can help keep the Center’s doors open and provide warmth and safety to men, women, and children in the Lewiston-Auburn area who rely on us for shelter and support. Every contribution ensures that we can continue to offer a safe, warm refuge from the bitter cold—one that fosters hope, compassion, and a sense of community during the hardest months of the year. Please consider making a donation and standing with us in support of our neighbors in need this winter.
