The Trinity Jubilee Center is a multi-service, secular agency serving downtown Lewiston. The Center operates five programs: a soup kitchen, food pantry, resource center, refugee integration program, and a day shelter. The center is open six days a week and serves more than 1,000 clients each week.

Soup Kitchen / Shelter: Saturday staff
The Center is currently hiring a staff person to work in the Soup Kitchen and Day Shelter. The regular schedule is one day per week: Saturdays from 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM. The ideal candidate will also be interested in picking up shifts throughout the week to cover when other staff members are out.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Working alongside another staff member and volunteers to cook, plate, and distribute the Soup Kitchen’s to-go lunches.
2. Supervising and working alongside volunteers to prep food, wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, and keep the kitchen, shelter, and premises clean and organized.
3. Helping to supervise the homeless shelter, including intakes, referrals to resources, and monitoring behavior.
4. Helping with other tasks as needed, such as organizing donations.
This is a front of house position that requires great customer service skills! This staff member will need to work well independently, possess strong communication and organization skills, and have patience and respect for all clients. Education and Experience:
Required education: High school diploma
Required experience: 2 years of customer service experience
Preferred experience: 1 year of experience in food service
Compensation: The hourly rate is $21 per hour.
